GoldenGate Software Names Sachin Chawla VP of Products

Leader in Transactional Data Management Fuels Growth Plans and Strengthens Position with Addition of Key Executive

San Francisco, Calif - January 17, 2006 - GoldenGate Software Inc., the leading provider of transactional data management solutions, today announced that Sachin Chawla has joined the company's executive team as vice president of products. With more than two decades of experience in product management and development, which includes five years of working on the development of Sybase's Replication Server product, Chawla has expertise in real-time data integration and high availability that will play a key role in driving future product development for GoldenGate.

Most recently, Chawla was vice president of data integration at Business Objects following its acquisition of Acta Technology, Inc. in 2002. Chawla was a co-founder and the CTO at Acta Technology, which delivered data integration solutions. Before Acta, Chawla spent five years at Sybase, Inc. where he was a key lead in the development of Sybase's Replication Server product line. Prior to his time at Sybase, he spent several years as a software engineer for IBM.
