GoldenGate Expands Presence in Healthcare, Adds New Deployments Supporting IDX Carecast™

Sausalito, Calif. - August 11, 2003 - GoldenGate, a leader in data synchronization, today announced the expansion of its presence in the vertical healthcare market with the addition of new customers that use information systems from the Carecast division of IDX Systems Corporation (Nasdaq: IDXC). Continuum Health Partners in New York and Saint Francis Care in Hartford, Connecticut have chosen to deploy GoldenGate 7 as an integral element within the IDX Carecast™ enterprise clinical solution. During the first half of 2003, GoldenGate has added six new healthcare customers through its IDX partnership, strengthening its base in this vertical market.

IDX Carecast™ runs on the highly scalable HP NonStop platform, which provides 99.9 percent uptime. GoldenGate software fully replicates the Carecast database, ensuring continued access to accurate, up-to-the second data during upgrades. GoldenGate also supports multiple database environments, which enable IDX customers to capture data from the core HP NonStop system and create active data warehouses to run real-time reports for statistical analysis, fiscal reporting, and other data-intensive tasks.
