GoldenGate Software Appoints General Manager EMEA to Support Overseas Growth

Richard Dobber Joins Team to Expand Worldwide Market Footprint

San Francisco, Calif - November 9, 2005 - GoldenGate Software Inc., the leading provider of transactional data management solutions, today announced the appointment of Richard Dobber as general manager EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa). To support the company's overseas expansion, Dobber will be responsible for developing business strategy, growing the existing customer base and building new alliance partnerships. Dobber will be based in GoldenGate's European headquarters located in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Dobber brings over two decades of experience in the technology industry. Prior to joining GoldenGate, he held executive positions, grew revenues, and established new alliances in the EMEA region for Nextone Communications, webMethods, and Descartes Systems Group.

As general manager of EMEA, Dobber will grow the market by leveraging his strong business relationships in the region. GoldenGate has a well established customer base today primarily in the banking and financial services sectors. Through its long-standing channel partnerships, GoldenGate has successfully deployed solutions for high availability, disaster tolerance and real-time data integration with 50 customers in 18 different countries across the EMEA region today. Each customer has deployed GoldenGate on numerous projects and there continues to be strong demand from the base.

Previously, he was instrumental in growing webMethods. presence in EMEA and built the company.s business and sales organization as managing director for northern Europe and sales director EMEA. Prior to webMethods, Dobber was vice president of sales EMEA for Descartes Systems Group.
