GoldenGate Unveils New Modules For BASE24 At European User Conference, Extends Business Continuity Solution For Banking and Financial Institutions

New GoldenGate Modules to be presented at 2003 BASE24 User Conference.

Budapest - April 8, 2003 - GoldenGate, a leader in Global Data Synchronization, today announced new modules to support BASE24, the ATM and POS electronic funds transfer (EFT) solution from industry leader ACI Worldwide. GoldenGate for BASE24 delivers a comprehensive business continuity and real-time data synchronization solution for its banking and financial institutions customer base. GoldenGate for BASE24 is a robust and flexible data synchronization platform that enables users to continuously capture, transform and load data from BASE24 / HP NonStop systems to one or more secondary systems. Transactions are replicated immediately after entry on the primary system, so up-to-the-second copies of all critical data can be maintained at multiple sites. This ensures instant recovery in the event of planned or unplanned system outages and provides an efficient, non-intrusive means for capturing thousands of database operations per second.

Now custom add-on modules expand the capabilities of GoldenGate for BASE24 to deliver a business continuity solution with an ultra-light footprint on existing systems.

• M24 - Zero Downtime System Migrations The M24 module allows ATM and POS operations to continue uninterrupted during application upgrades. With the GoldenGate platform's ability to capture and store database changes as they occur, system administrators can load a new database while the application remains active on the old system.
• E24 - Closing the Batch Window The E24 module and GoldenGate for BASE24 ensures transactions are automatically captured and delivered in real-time to settlement systems, eliminating the time constraints of narrow batch windows when building and transmitting the files required by settlement systems. GoldenGate transmits and transforms data in near real-time from HP NonStop databases to any other database format. Settlement files, or data for reporting and analysis, are available and ready as needed.
• N24 - Guaranteed Synchronization between two Active Systems The N24 module provides BASE24 administrators enhanced coordination capabilities by automating the timing of events between two systems, optimizing load sharing, and allowing "true" bi-directional replication between two BASE24 nodes. The N24 module provides this coordination without requiring user modification of the BASE24 application. N24 should also be used on BASE24 systems in hot site scenarios, ensuring constant availability.
• T24 - Moving Tokenized and Segmented Data into a Structured Format GoldenGate for BASE24 and the T24 module enables movement of tokenized or segmented data to other platforms and databases, eliminating custom coding. The T24 product will re-organize and re-format the transaction log (TLF and PTLF) tokens for all transaction types into a configurable order. All mapping and transformation capabilities can be used on this new structure.
