GoldenGate's product management, training, and professional services presenters bring years of industry and product knowledge and most importantly, have worked directly with customers worldwide to help deploy solutions for the real-time enterprise. Short bios for GoldenGate's track speakers are below:

Marie Couch - Senior Software Analyst, GoldenGate Software

Marie Couch brings 20 years of HP NonStop experience to her classes. In her five years with GoldenGate, she has helped many customers implement solutions for a variety of business initiatives. Prior to joining the company, Marie worked as a project manager, analyst, and consultant with companies such as EDS, US Foodservice, Amdocs (formerly DST Innovis) and Ross Stores, all of which have deployed GoldenGate across their enterprise.

Chris Lawless - Software Analyst, GoldenGate Software

Upon joining the GoldenGate Technical Services team, Chris Lawless quickly became one of our top instructors, helping users implement GoldenGate on Windows and UNIX platforms. Prior to joining GoldenGate, Chris was a Senior Database Instructor for Oracle Corporation. In 2003, Chris was awarded DBA West Instructor of the Year, and received Oracle's 'Gold Club' award by consistently achieving customer satisfaction ratings exceeding 95.5%.

Alok Pareek - VP of Technology, GoldenGate Software

Alok Pareek is a software architect at GoldenGate. Alok brings over 10 years of server development experience at Oracle in the Recovery/High Availability area. His significant, patent-filed contributions at Oracle include development of Cross Platform Transportable tablespaces (10g), Multi threaded redo generation (9i), Multiple block size cache support (9i), and Whole database transport (10.2). He was responsible for the redo generation component of the database from 8i to 10.2. He led the technical team responsible for high speed data movement across platforms as part of Oracle's $1B cost cutting measures.

He is currently working on the next generation product design and architecture at GoldenGate, and is involved with key enterprise customers on critical architectural issues. He has presented at major industry events and various user conferences on recovery and high availability.

Alok holds a graduate degree in Computer Science from Stanford University, where his research area was Database Systems.

Terry Simonds - Senior Sales Engineer, GoldenGate Software

Terry has over 18 years experience in IT, ranging from technical programming and systems engineering, to managing IT Operations for a Real Estate Development Corporation in Southern California. Prior to joining GoldenGate, Terry spent several years at Tandem Computers (now HP) as an Enterprise Architect specializing in clustering architectures and high availability. Terry's role as a senior sales engineer at GoldenGate includes identifying how businesses can leverage Transactional Data Management in a variety of initiatives to significantly improve overall business efficiency. With a degree in Computer Science, Terry brings the technical, operational and business methodology needed for deploying high availability enterprise solutions.

Steve Wilkes - Senior Director, Technology Strategy, GoldenGate Software

Steve has over 15 years of experience in the field of Computer Technology working with a diverse range of industries including Banking, Defense, Government, Insurance, Manufacturing, Retail, Software Development and Web Technology firms. Steve has created many technical and practical business solutions with special emphasis on enterprise architecture, patterns and distributed technologies. Having heavily utilized database technology throughout his career, Steve now applies his holistic knowledge to defining the integration and management of GoldenGate solutions.
