Track Sessions

The Real-Time 2008 conference offers a wide range of sessions designed to meet GoldenGate's diverse customer interest areas. Over 75% of track sessions are presented by GoldenGate's customers and all other sessions are given by knowledgeable product, technical and professional services GoldenGate employees.

Business Track:
The Real-Time 2008 business track features GoldenGate solutions in the real world. Because GoldenGate's technology is extremely flexible and can be deployed across many different IT projects, these sessions will cover a wide range of business scenarios and solution areas. Presenters for these sessions will highlight the business goals, specific solution and technology requirements, implementation details and overall benefits achieved. Both business and technical users will gain value from attending these sessions.

Key Focus: Tackling the business need and driving real value with GoldenGate's solutions.

Technical Track:
The Real-Time 2008 technical track will provide attendees with an in-depth look at the GoldenGate technology that drives solutions. These sessions are presented by GoldenGate experts from customers, partners and our own technical and expert services teams. Because GoldenGate is highly flexible and deployed across diverse database and hardware environments, these sessions showcase how the product can be applied to solve complex enterprise architecture needs. Presenters will dive into detail on how GoldenGate's unique technology capabilities have been deployed for a particular project or application environment, and the presenters will share technical tips on how you can make best use of the technology to meet your own specific requirements.

Key Focus: How GoldenGate's technology is applied to address specific, complex technical requirements.

Education Track:

Whether you are just starting with GoldenGate, or are looking to get "hands-on" with new products, the education track with its lab setting gives you real-world skills you can apply to your own transactional data management goals and needs. In the Real-Time 2008 education track, there will be sessions that show you how to take advantage of GoldenGate's new Oracle DDL replication support; how to improve management and monitoring practices; how to integrate GoldenGate with leading ETL solutions; and how GoldenGate now works with secure network zones with the new target connection initiation feature. You can also preview the all-new GoldenGate Veridata web interface. HP NonStop users can learn about enhanced trail management, improved multi-node checkpointing, and other enhancements. And find out how GoldenGate supports real-time transactional data capture for the newest members of its database lineup: Microsoft SQL Server 2005, Sybase, and SQL/MX. The education track is led by GoldenGate experts, featuring demonstrations and hands-on workshops.

Best Practices Track:
The Best Practices track sessions are presented by seasoned expert services and development team-members, as well as by customers, who have successfully expanded GoldenGate's capabilities to deliver innovative, effective solutions. These sessions will focus on best practices for implementing GoldenGate to effectively meet your requirements for Live Reporting, Zero-Downtime Migrations, Disaster Tolerance or High Availability. Presenters will outline the best approach to take based on their first-hand knowledge and experience.

Key Focus: Based on real-world experiences, tell me the best approach to deploying a certain GoldenGate solution.
